Amanita phalloides, commonly known as the death cap, is a deathly mushroom with a long period of latency as its poisons cause major damage to the liver and the kidneys. The death cap is so poisonous that it should not put even into the same basket with mushrooms intended for the kitchen, which can then become equally poisonous. In Estonia the death cap grows in broadleaved forests in August and September.

Yuyuan Garden is located at the side of Old Town God's Temple in the Huangpu District of Shanghai. Built in 1559, the 38th year of Jiajing Reign of Ming dynasty, Yuyuan Garden is originally designed for its owner - Pan Yunduan's aging father to enjoy his old age. The name of Yuyuan garden is associated with the homophonic sound of "yu (satisfying) the aging parents".

The stamp depicts the Jelgava Palace and the coat of arms of the LUA with the motto of the university: Proventus pro patria or For the Growth of the Fatherland.
In 1863, an Agriculture Faculty was established in the Riga Polytechnical Institute, creating the foundation of the present-day Latvia University of Agriculture. Over the years, it has grown into an important national university with eight faculties, around 5,000 students and a teaching staff of more than 300.
Estonia Theatre and Concert House was inaugurated in 1913 according to the design of architects Armas Lindgren and Wivi Lönn. On September 6, 2013 the Estonia Theatre and Concert House celebrated its 100th anniversary. The doors of the temple of arts, situated in the heart of Tallinn, are open every night for the music and theatre loving audiences.

Born in 1899, Chiang Soong Mayling, who is also known as Madame Chiang Kai-shek, went to the US to study when she was young and graduated from Wellesley College. In 1927, she married Chiang Kai-shek, the late president of the Republic of China. She died in 2003 at the age of 105.
Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava 2013 Date of Issue : 2 September 2013
The Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava is a prestigious international competition exhibit of originals of children’s book illustrations, founded in 1967. Sixteen Slovak illustrators were awarded at the Biennial so far and they received twenty seven awards in total, for many of them were awarded multiple times.
On the stamp is the reproductions of the illustration from the Rudo Sloboda’s book How I Became a Wise Man, for which Klepoch was awarded the Golden Apple BIB 2011.

Festivals 2013 - Etrog Boxes Date of Issue : 26 August 2013
2 NIS : Etrog Box, Bezalel Jerusalem, 20th c
This box was made at the Bezalel School of Arts & Crafts which operated in Jerusalem from 1906-1929. Silver, repouss, etched, filigree work and semi-precious stones.
3.9 NIS : Etrog Box, Austria, 19th c
Silver, repouss and punched. The box itself is shaped like an etrog fruit. The top portion of this silver box is a hinged cover which in turn is adorned with a repouss etrog.

Silver, repouss and engraved. The box itself is shaped like a bird, with the wings and upper portion of the body forming the cover and protecting the fruit like a bird hatching its chicks. The matching tray is adorned with an image of a small fish.
Etrog is an extremely delicate citrus fruit. In order to protect the etrog throughout the days of the festival, it is customary to keep it in a special container which usually has a soft lining to provide even more protection. A plethora of different containers, bowls and boxes is used to protect etrogs.

The world championships in Finn class sailing took place at Pirita in Tallinn in the period from 23 to 31 August, 2013, and about a hundred best Finn class sailors took part in it. The Estonian team was represented by Deniss Karpak, Lauri Väinsalu and Martti Kinkar. Finn is the oldest sailing class that has been regularly run in the Olympic programme since 1952. It was the fourth time for Estonia to host adult class world championships of Olympic events.
