The $1.70 stamp shows a portrait of Dr. SUN in his student days with the Government Central School in the background. The Government Central School, where Dr. SUN attended his senior high school from 1884 to 1886, was the first government secondary school to offer a Western education in Hong Kong.
The $2.90 stamp features a portrait of Dr. SUN in his youth with the Alice Memorial Hospital and its affiliated College of Medicine for Chinese, Hongkong in the background. In 1887, Dr. SUN left Canton Hospital in Guangzhou to study medicine at the College of Medicine for Chinese, Hongkong of the Alice Memorial Hospital, and graduated with excellent results five years later in 1892.
The $3.70 stamp shows a portrait of Dr. SUN in his middle age with the Hong Kong Hotel in the background. During his stay at the Hong Kong Hotel in 1912, Dr. SUN expressed his views on the current situation in China in a press interview held in the hotel.
The $5 stamp shows a portrait of Dr. SUN in his old age with the Main Building of the University of Hong Kong in the background. On 20 February 1923, Dr. SUN delivered a speech in the Main Building of the University of Hong Kong at the invitation of the students’ union, saying that his revolutionary thoughts were inspired by Hong Kong.
