The 4th series of Malaysian currency coins are based on the ethnic arts and handicraft motifs from Peninsular Malaysia, as well as Sabah and Sarawak.

50sen: Sulur Kacang

20sen: Bunga Melur
The new 20sen coin shows the Bunga Melur placed against a "destar siga" design.

10sen: Orang Asli Motif

5sen: Destar Siga
On the new 5sen coin, the 'destarsiga' pattern is prominently featured, accompanied by the 'sulur kacang' as a background motif.
