The special postmark depicting skeleton drawn by 16th century Flemish anatomist Andreas Vesalius
The "50th Anniversary of Pauls Stradins Museum of the History of Medicine" stamp (issued on 9 March 2007) on the cover depict a skeleton drawn by Vesalius for the 16th century textbook whose copies are considered masterpieces throughout the world. Andreas Vesalius was the first to describe the skeletal system in line with the concepts of modern medicine.
